Fyre Dept

Bio

Collectively known as Fyre Dept, Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch have been creating music together for nearly 20 years.  Upon meeting in the early 90’s the producer-duo had a seamless work ethic in the studio.  “Our vision was to combine real live instrumentation with modern sounds to create records that are current but timeless,” says Krasno. In addition to being multi-instrumentalists, Krasno and Deitch write and engineer their own songs, setting them apart from other producers in the world today. The Fyre Dept credits span over an eclectic mix of artists including rap mogul 50 Cent, Grammy nominated soul singer Ledisi, reggae superstar Matisyahu and lyrical geniuses Talib Kweli and Pharoahe Monch. Most recently, Deitch and Krasno co-wrote the single from blues/soul duo Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi “Learning to Love” from their new album “Revelator”.  In 2008, the two gained international recognition with a string of releases, starting with a remix of Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” featuring Swedish pop star Robyn and followed by a collaboration with Italian platinum selling rapper Fabri Fibra. Adam and Eric are currently in the studio producing Def Jam’s newest signee Wax.

The Fyre Dept's studio is located in Brooklyn, NY.
