ROYAL FAMILY INTERNSHIPS


Royal Family Records is currently seeking Design, Marketing, and HTML/CSS interns. These interns can work remotely or out of our office in Brooklyn, NY. All positions are unpaid but there is a (very good) possibility for contract hire and future work if you are good.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

DESIGN INTERN
The design intern will play a critical role in developing creative materials for Soulive and Royal Family artists. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects from show fliers/posters to banner ads, logos, album artwork and more. You will work closely with a Creative Director and managers to develop Soulive's presence in both the print and online worlds. This is an exciting opportunity for designers interested in working in music.

REQUIREMENTS
- Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Experience with graphic design for bands, brands, companies etc
- Ability to complete projects in timely manner and coordinate with Royal Family staff
- Portfolio with strong examples of previous work
- Dedicate about 2-5 hours a week

MARKETING INTERN
The marketing intern is the bloodline of the family and will help to develop strategic marketing opportunities for Soulive and Royal Family artists in their touring, production, and album release endeavors. You will work closely with management to formulate approaches for our social media outlets while helping to create and manage content. 

REQUIREMENTS
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines
- Quick to adapt to new systems and processes
- Comfortable and skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and New Media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SoundCloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, Band Page, and more. 
Basic design skill (i.e. Photoshop) & HTML knowledge is preferred.
- Dedicate about 10-15 hours a week

HTML/CSS INTERN
The HTML/CSS intern will help shape Soulive and Royal Family artists' presence online by managing front-end code. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects from developing new features on the Royal Family website (royalfamilyrecords.com), to creating Facebook contest pages, splash pages, new artist sites and more.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in HTML & CSS
- Ability to convert PSDs into live HTML/CSS a plus
- Standards compliant & aware of industry best practices
- Ability to work effectively with other developers and designers
- Experience working with Drupal & SVN a plus
- Experience working with FB, FBML, FB Connect a plus
- Dedicate about 5-7 hours a week
