Neal Evans

Bio

To put it simply Neal Evans is a beast on the keys. His split mind - bass on one side and keys on the other - has allowed Soulive to be far more than your typical organ trio. Classically trained, Neal was forced to play bass one night when the bassist was a no show. Since then, Neal has been delivering the low end in a serious way with Soulive.  In 2004, he was the subject of the documentary "Right Brain, Right Beat", detailing his creative process, inspirations, and uncanny ability to play both bass and keys at the same time. Recently, Neal scored the critically acclaimed documentary "The Black List" on HBO which premiered at Sundance in 2008 and is currently working on his first solo album.
