Adam Deitch Joins Soulive at The Royal Family Academy
It's official, Adam Deitch will join Eric Krasno, Alan Evans and Neal Evans at the educational Royal Family Academy in the beautiful Catskill mountains during the week of August 13 - 17! The Lettuce and Break Science drummer will hold two in-depth drum workshops discussing "A Breakbeat Timeline: A Study of Different Drum Styles as They Relate to Modern Music," over the course of the 5 days, in addition to leading one of four ensemble groups. DRUM CLINIC SNEAK PEEK
Adam Deitch, drummer for Lettuce, John Scofield, and Break Science, will be discussing various drum related topics in relation to styles ranging from west African, Afro Cuban, Brazillian, New Orleans 2nd line to reggae/dub music. Adam will also demonstrate how each of these styles have affected modern drumming, including drum 'n bass, dubstep, drumstep, and glitch hop. The many different styles of funk and hip hop drumming will be discussed and demonstrated. Adam's drumming has brought him around the world, and the information he shares at his clinics can be beneficial to drummers as well as other instrumentalists.
