BANG

The next step of the album process is underway. Here is a collection of images, old Polish movie posters that I have been inspired by for the album artwork. I tend to gravitate towards striking imagery, things that are extra-ordinary. Why be boring when you don't have to! It's great to be visually sucked into something, and then figure out it's meaning or lack there of. The overall aesthetic, blending of imagery, color palettes and typography is very similar to making an album. In the beginning you have every possible option or idea at your your disposal. In the end, hopefully you're ability to edit the unnecessary allows you to create something worth while. Which images do you dig?

A polish accent is what I never expected in here! I,m glad. Expecting more of your sounds.
Polish Soulive fan.

I'm like the "Gregory Peck" image. I have a feeling that when I hear this new album, to me it was the most visual and mentally striking. Something that when you look at that image makes you think of pins, needles, and anticipation. When i saw the needle, I would feel the pink and prick in my mind.

I'm diggin the "Zamiec" and its similarity with a fingerprint pattern. I've always been fascinated with the uniqueness of fingerprints and the fact that we all have our own. Very applicable to one's musical sound too... I can tell its you on the organ, so can my dog too (hey, he's got a good ear)

def the bomb dropper

I like the Zemiec

Dig the Czego Pragnie - Lola poster. That and the plane dropping bombs with the canons in the foreground. It all looks cool. Are you designing the artwork yourself?

the isadora is tight... cant wait for the new cd..c u in new orleans!!

CREATE!!!

Neal, I've always dug these Polish posters. I especially love the one for Altman's NASHVILLE, given that it was marketed in a totally different way in the US. Polish audiences must have been stoked for every new film, but were probably disappointed when the actual thing didn't live up to the poster!

wow, the polish design it's great i'm glad you took the time to think about the album artwork, you picked just the right one, every image it's great, can't wait for he album, congrats.

be nice for you to come to mexico.

cheers

Dwa Tygodnie. I could see those hands holding a keyboard. Or Bariera... That's cool in a simple, retro, Blue Note kind of way. I am unspeakably excited!
