Final Master... Bangladesh

Final Master...

More like, finally mastered.  That's right Bangladesh is complete on the audio end, thanks to Paul Gold at Salt Mastering in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.  Mastering an album is the final audio process in which you the artist sit back and observe the fine tuned ears and moves of wizardry of a mastering engineer behind a bunch of really expensive gear finessing in detail the rough mix which you've provided into a polished product.  In the utmost vaguely way described, that's what Paul Gold did.  The best part of the process for me was to hear from Paul that my mix sounded really good to start with.  From tune to tune Paul was bopping his head commenting on how he really dug the drum beat, the sound of the horns, or overall vibe of a tune.  I've listened to it several times over and it's pretty CRUSHING!  The best part of hearing the album fully realized is that it makes me get excited to record new material, improve my engineering skills, and create something new!  I can't wait for you to check it out...  Oh yeah, see that Neumann lathe, it will be put to good use, you'll be able to cop Bangladesh on vinyl.
