The 2nd round of festivities is underway here in the Big Easy. The guys are hitting it hard, day and night, night and day and despite the marathon schedule and set times that bleed into the wee hours of the morning, the Royal Family crew is standing strong.

Wednesday night we celebrated Kraz' new record Reminisce, with an all star line up featuring Kraz, Deitch, Nigel, Oteil and Kofi. We saw surprise sit ins by Terrence Blanchard, Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Warren Haynes, Maurice Brown and Khris Royal and the Monophonic Horns.

On Thursday afternoon, Dr. Klaw took the stage at the Fairgrounds for an hour of bone crushing funk. Chapter 2 closed out the night with Derek & Susan (their incredible new band) at a sold out House of Blues.

Friday night, Soulive and Break Science tore down Frenchman Street. Break Science wrapped up as the rest of the city was sitting down for breakfast.  

There is still plenty of rage left folks. We'll see y'all again tonight on Frenchman and tomorrow night for the ROYAL FAMILY BALL!!
