Lettuce at Gathering of the Vibes 7.24.09
Despite an epic thunderstorm and buckets of rain (that somehow wrapped up just in time for the 1:30AM set), Lettuce raged full tilt at the 2009 Gathering of the Vibes festival in Bridgeport, CT. The guys brought their A-game funk to a packed late night tent, situated snugly between campgrounds and shakedown street, and performed an action packed, 2 hour 15 minute set. Honestly, best music i've ever seen/heard.
i met the kids who made the flag, and deitch used our snaredrum! what a show, it seemed they reinterpreted all the rage tunes and kept it real loose with a lineup lacking shmeans and jesus....epic yancey, epic move on up, nigel in top form trading high notes with kraz
NOT TO WORRY! The RAGE flag was actually waving high all weekend, everywhere we went people were screaming for mo rage!
I was there and it was EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!
