The Royal Family takes over Bear Creek

To say that full rage ensued is an understatement. The Royal Family would like to officially thank the Bear Creek Festival from the fans to the staff to the vendors and transportation personnel, the weekend was just amazing. So...THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!

Friday kicked off quick and heavy with Chapter 2 gracing Uncle Charles' Stage and being joined by Kofi Burbridge and the legendary Fred Wesley. That night, Break Science brought the party to the Purple Hat Circus Tent to a packed crowd enjoying heavy beats and a crazy light show. Lettuce welcomed the late-night ragers with the last show of the night and featured Louis Cato on guitar, Rashawn Ross on trumpet and Skerik made an appearance on sax.

Saturday was a day of epic proportions...
As the sun set on the main amphitheater, Lettuce presented a lineup that could prove to be the best that anyone in attendance has ever witnessed. At the height of the set, the stage was packed 12-strong with Adam Deitch, Neal Evans, Eric Krasno, Ryan Zoidis and Sam Kininger at the core and featuring Derek Trucks, Nigel Hall, Rashawn Ross, Ian Neville, Kofi Burbridge, Ivan Neville and John Staten. Nobody could have expected such an incredible experience - even those of us who  were keyed in on the plans!

The Bear Creek Mystery Band this year was our very own Soulive and the trio showed up in suits and in full-form, surprising an anxious crowd and bringing up numerous guests to blow the roof off the circus tent! Fans were treated to classic Soulive tunes, as well as some of cover songs that have been popping up at recent performances.

On Sunday, Dr. Claw, featuring Adam Deitch, Ian Neville, Nick Daniels, Nigel Hall and Eric Krasno, laid down some funk to heighten anticipation for an upcoming studio project. The guys locked in and jammed it out, leading into an absolute party for the festival closer, Dumpstafunk!

Once again, a HUGE THANK YOU to all involved in making this a weekend none of us will ever forget! We look forward to Royal Family's presence in years to come!
